“SAFFY is incredibly conscientious and skilled at working with the community. Their community engagement process ensured we worked with a diverse group of residents along a spectrum of identities, backgrounds, and ages by utilizing community project champions, focus groups for underserved communities and a community advisory group that reflected the neighborhoods of Pickering. These members were well equipped to reach out far and wide to get community input, resulting in a comprehensive community consultation process. The rich and valuable community contributions shaped our new strategic plan. Working with SAFFY, we have also developed a way to report back annually to ensure the community that their voices are heard, and the impact of their invaluable feedback does shape library programs and services. We are thankful for the opportunity of working with such skilled professionals in ensuring our community is involved and their voices are reflected in a plan that will drive our work over the next 4 years and beyond.”

“The entire team at SAFFY were extremely responsive, responsible, coordinated and effective in supporting enhanced public consultations for the City of Toronto’s 2024 Budget. The consultation was championed by Mayor Olivia Chow and the Budget Chair and occurred under extremely tight timelines and with highly political direction. The SAFFY team developed and delivered 16 in-person and virtual public meetings, participated in numerous briefings with the Mayor and senior City management, and provided detailed summary reports and insights based on public feedback and other data, all of which provided valuable information on public budget priorities.”
